We are not very familiar with where our Vitality comes from, how it works, how we lose it, or how to regain it. Is it any wonder then that fatigue, the lack of natural Vitality, is the number one health complaint in our country?
Vitally is better understood by some of the older cultures. In India it's called prana; in China it's chi; in Japan it's ki; in Hebrew it's ruah; in Greek it's pneuma. In the West we call it bio-magnetic energy or vital energy. It's the subtle, basic vitality that energizes all the body's functions. It's the breath of life that is breathed into every human being. Modern science has discovered that every cell in the body carries a positive or negative ionic charge. Every organ has it's own quality and quantity of bio-magnetic energy. Vital energy is also organized into main pathways that circulate though the body. Key points along those pathways are manipulated by acupuncture and acupressure. In a larger sense, our Vitality is the energy we feel physically and how we feel emotionally. Our Vitality is depleted or made stagnant by overwork, sedentary living, lack of rest, poor nutrition, toxins and negative attitudes. This is not just new age mysticism, but rather a part of our physiology / psychology that was understood in the older cultures, and can now be scientifically observed and measured. Some of the best advances in health science put this knowledge to use. Nutrition: Ionic potential of nutrients are now manipulated to improve their absorption into the bloodstream through the mouth, esophagus, stomach or intestines. Absorption of nutrients through the walls of capillaries and into the cells is also being enhanced, as well as the positive/negative charges of cells. We get part of our Vitality from food, but only if it is alive and has Vitality to offer. This Vitality is a different thing than vitamins, minerals, etc. that food contains. It's the spark of life that proves the plant is alive. Air treatment technology: The most advanced systems remove air pollutants by increasing negative (beneficial) ions in the air and reducing positive (detrimental) ions. Pollutants are collected back to the air purifier by electronically charged plates. The addition of negative ions to the air is beneficial to our health, because we get part of our Vitality from the air we breath. This is in addition to the oxygen in the air. Water treatment technology: Some water purifiers now address the ionic potential, and therefore cellular absorption, of water molecules and add ionic charges to the water. We get some of our Vitality from water, if it is fresh. Our Vitality is also our emotions. What we habitually feel about ourselves, others and our lives, can make us tired or energetic. Negative emotional habits interfere with oxygen, nutrient and hormonal usage and cause our blood to hold on to cellular wastes, which causes fatigue and systemic toxemia. Positive emotion (natural Vitality) promotes improvements in our blood quality. Our emotions and our physical energy are not only closely related - they are the same thing! When Vitality is depleted, we lack energy for daily activities. Even worse, our body doesn't have the energy it needs for it's own upkeep. It gets behind in feeding, cleaning, repairing and protecting itself, and symptoms must be produced eventually. Lack of Vitality is at the core of all chronic symptoms, because our Vitality Function is systemic. And it's the fundamental energy that drives Neuro-function and Blood Function. To preserve our health we must be more aware of the Vitality our body needs, and provide it, instead of just thinking about our immediate need - enough energy to get our work done.
