Russ Sinclair was diagnosed with asthma at age two. Conventional medical care saved his life, controlled his symptoms and kept him more comfortable. However, it did not explain or treat the root causes of his asthma. Consequently, his asthma gradually got worse and the same root causes led to many other chronic illnesses such as heart problems, environmental allergies, food sensitivities, heart, kidney and skin problems, and a lingering fatigue.
Russ' quest for health, and his desire to understand the underlying causes of chronic illness, lead him to extensive research in the natural therapeutic traditions in India, China, Japan, Israel and many places in Europe. Russ recovered from all his ailments in a short period of time after discovering and applying the principles and techniques of Systemic Health. "My sickly start in life turned out to be a blessing. I discovered a level of health that suprised even healthy people. Russ teaches Systemic Health and natural therapeutics internationally and is the author of The Systemic Health Home Study Course." In 1983 he founded "The Sinclair Institute" in San Diego, California which taught Systemic Health and recovery from chronic health problems. He is the founder of Systemic Health Institute, Inc., which has produced seminars for physicians, patient education materials and a syndicated radio broadcast. Russ is a sought after speaker on prevention of and recovery from chronic illness. He is on the faculty of Bastyr University School of Medicine. Russ lives in Spokane, WA with his wife Wendy and sons Michael, Daniel and Andrew. His daughter Christy is presently in graduate school pursuing her Ph.D. in psychology.
